JAZZLIVE at the Crypt was established in 1995 and quickly gained a deserved reputation as one of the UK’s premier jazz venues. Its weekly Friday night concerts have featured the top musicians from London, the UK and Europe, and beyond. JAZZLIVE at the Crypt (situated in the basement of St. Giles Church, Camberwell) continues to break new ground with the JAZZLIVE in Second Life project.

Russell Occomore, Director and Trustee of Jazz Umbrella, the organisation responsible for JAZZLIVE at The Crypt says “We are delighted to be able to broadcast some of our weekly gigs into the virtual world of Second Life with the generous support of The National Lottery Awards For All scheme. This project gives us the opportunity to make quality live UK jazz accessible to many more people, from all over the world, in an innovative way via the amazing Second Life platform. To make it even more remarkable we have commissioned artwork by some of Second Life most innovative artists who are creating our virtual venue.”

ALL EVENTS START AT 20:00 GMT in the UK (12 noon Second Life Time). First live set begins at 21:30 GMT (13:30 SLT)

Advance tickets for all our gigs at www.wegottickets.com/find/venue/crypt

The JAZZLIVE in Second Life events are part funded by The National Lottery Awards For All.
